23. The best conversation/dialogue: Most of #130

24. The worst conversation/dialogue: The conversation between Sonic and E.V.E. in #128

25. The best new characters, events, and/or ideas: Ending the Sally/Sonic/Mina love triangle (For now), pushing the current time ahead one year, and introducing M:25YL

26. The worst new characters, events, and/or ideas: Sonic vs. Super Sonic (The way it was executed, anyway), the Xorda, the Afterlife arc, and handling of Snively since 118.

1. The best cover: Sonic #131 (Spaz/Penders)
It's M:25YL..come on

2. The worst cover: Sonic #119 (Spaz/Ribeiro)
Just too bland

3. The best frontpiece: Sonic #121 (Axer/Tomas)
Awesome pic of a hugely under-utilized character

4. The worst frontpiece: Sonic #119 (Axer/Tomas)
Comeon, they're all Axer, making pick a worst in itself is evil

5. The best story arc: Sonic Adventure 2.5 (#124-25): Bollers/Round-Robin
It had Shadow, and everyone else, I wasn't gonna complain

6. The worst story arc: Tossed In Space (#126-29): Lee, Bollers, & Chacon/Round-Robin
It coulda been worse, I was worried on how long this arc was going to be and what Sonic would come back to

7. The best main story that was part of a story arc: Sonic Adventure 2.5: Omega (#125): Karl Bollers
Though it can't compare IMO to SA2.5, I atleast want to acknowledge "Welcome To The Wheelworld (#129): Benny Lee" for the simple fact it single handedly closed 3 plotholes in an issue

8. The worst main story that was part of a story arc: Evo-Solution (#127): Benny Lee
It filled a plothole, but it was almost too simple a fix

9. The best back-up story that was part of a story arc: Afterlife, Part 1 (#121): Ken Penders
Not really anything special this year in the back-ups, this one at least tried to portray a little emotion from some of the main and supporting characters

10. The worst back-up story that was part of a story arc: Starmada (#128): Karl Bollers
Was mostly just support for the E.V.E. plothole filler

11. The best main story: The Blue Blur Returns (#130): Karl Bollers
Wasn't out and out great, but there really wasn't a lot of competition either

12. The worst main story: Cater-Killer Is Coming (#119): Benny Lee
Could be thrown out of the storyline completely and you'd never tell the difference

13. The best back-up story: Mobius 25 Years Later: Prologue (#131): Ken Penders
I can't help it, I've waited on this arc for years

14. The worst back-up story: Songbird (#121): Romy Chacon
I really hate to pick on Romy like this, but out these choices this one just held up the least, you just really can't convey actually music/song in a comic

15. The best art within a main story: Sonic Adventure 2.5: Omega (#125): J. Axer/Conor Tomas
I had the hardest time deciding between this and "Heart Held Hostage, Part 2 (#123): J. Axer/Conor Tomas" I adored the way Axer did the shattering glass FX with Mina there.

16. The worst art within a main story: Sonic Adventure 2.5: Omega (#125): Ron Lim/Jim Amash
Oh the choices, if I had to pick, it would be where it was surrounded by better art, so we'll go with #125

17. The best art in a back-up story: Mobius 25 Years Later: Prologue (#131): Steven Butler/Ken Penders
Ya know, I really expected to give this to Dawn Best, but for some reason, Butler just seems to have a growth-spurt in M:25YL, I mean, just that shot of Lara-Su crying to the bathroom was sooo nice. The only complaint I have is I'm not that crazy on Julie-Su's redesign

19. The overall best issue: Sonic #125
Mainly for the fact that it and #130, where one cohesive story. Nice drama, good ending, heartbreaking goodbyes, tearing reunions. It was abit crammed, but this is why I say just bump the book up to 48 pages if we're continuously doing 3 stories per book. I'm already paying over $2 a book so might as well

20. The overall worst issue: Sonic #119
It just didn't have anything going for it, a completely irrelevant issue

21. The best single line: King Acorn: Sonic...Freedom Fighters...LEAVE! Guards, Enter. (#122)

22. The worst single line: Moonwatcher: At long last father, you shall become one with the Force. (#121)

23. The best conversation/dialogue:#125
Aurora: How can he give up the chance to be cloaked within the fabric of Eternity? To unlock the secrets of the universe?
Athair: Weren't you ever 16?

24. The worst conversation/dialogue: #128, The E.V.E.-Sonic conversation really made no sense to me

25. The best new characters, events, and/or ideas: As they were late in the year and incomplete, I won't say "M:25YL" or the "Home" though I love the direction they appear to be going. So that really leaves SA2.5, This is really more what I would have liked #100 to be like, something that has more of a purpose and is truly meant to wrap up more than 1 storyarc.

26. The worst new characters, events, and/or ideas: "Tossed in Space" REALLY coulda been alot worse than it was, I think Romy really did what she could with the arc, but thankfully it was only a few issues long.

24. The worst conversation/dialogue:

22. The worst single line: Aurora in #124
"To advance into the Chaos Force and take your place in the cosmos, naturally!"
[It sounds kind of awkward because she says it so casually and I can barely figure out what she means!]

"How can he give up the chance to be cloaked within the very fabric of eternity? To unlock the secrets of the universe?"

In reality, I loved this image, but with the text box plastered all over about 1/4 of the page, that took away so much from the beauty.

5. The best story arc: Heart Held Hostage (#122-23): Bollers/Axer/Tomas

6. The worst story arc: Afterlife (#121-24): Penders/Mawhinney/Penders

7. The best main story that was part of a story arc: Heart Held Hostage, Part 1 (#122): Karl Bollers

22. The worst single line: "Don't nobody be messin' with the Vector's stylin' and profilin'!!!" - Young Vector, Sonic #122

23. The best conversation/dialogue: Sonic, Mina, & Sally in Sonic #123

24. The worst conversation/dialogue: Deadline & Justin Gabrie in Sonic #126

25. The best new characters, events, and/or ideas: There weren't many new characters, but I liked Jeff (the weasel Sonic clocked in Sonic #122) the most. Hopefully, he managed to get out of captivity somehow (or Nack will spring him out) so he can return. The declaration of love between Sally & Sonic, the return of Knuckles, and the "death"/return of Sonic were the best events storyline wise. For Sally & Sonic, it was nice to finally have it made official after teasing it for such a long time. The way Knuckles came back in #125 along with the price he paid for it was great. Sonic's "death" in #125 combined with his return in #130 was pulled off exceptionally well. The best ideas are the semi-reboot due to Sonic not being around for a year and Mobius: 25 Years Later. Something that brings more Lara-Su definitely is a plus even if it isn't the same as Knuckles: 20 Years Later.

26. The worst new characters, events, and/or ideas: Considering the story actually came about, Deadline qualifies for worst character for being absolutely unnecessary and bringing nothing toward the storyline. The worst idea by far was to give "Off Panel" its own story. Luckily it wasn't a full issue. That would have been torture. The worse event is actually a non-existent one and goes hand-in-hand with the worst idea. The decision to not allow the readers to even get a minor glimpse into how the characters handled Sonic's death and to give us "Off Panel" and a tribute to Antonio Prohias was just bad. It's one thing to decide that the reboot is a surprise (though just expanding upon the memorial/funeral would've been appreciated over those two stories), but then actually give something worth reading as a replacement.
