This took a bit of effort and creativity. Anyone who's familiar with the Archie version of Sonic may or may not remember the "Rainbow Valley Zone", was was only seen in the Knux comics. Well, I decided to try my hand at recreating it. The background and forground were taken from two different levels of Ristar, the foreground edited to give it a Sonic feel. The mushrooms were taken from Mushroom Hill and had an extenive overhaul put on them. Overall I'm very pleased with the outcome.
