    General Info
    Intro

For the most part, Drift 2 is identical to its predecessor BUT it has a larger amount of levels and new moves to execute - nothing really super, but its still a pretty fun play to pass the time. Gameplay is exactly the same, although the courses are marginally more complex. There are three more characters to play as, but the backgrounds are less detailed. The main enhancement is the computer AI...now your opponents will do anything they can to cramp your style, and are not afraid to go out of their way to push you off the track or toss an obstacle in your path that'll have the pit crew wondering what the heck happened. Unfortunately, in the interest of challenge, opponents have also been cheapened with that immensely annoying feature that pushes laggers ahead. This makes it next to nearly impossible to place first, as you have a better chance of winning a race by pulling ahead at the last second than maintaining a lead. This one piercing flaw really does hurt what could otherwise be a pretty good racer. But like we said before - all in all its pretty good fun, but nothing mindblowing.

    Story
He's back! Everyone's favorite blue hedgehog, Sonic, and six of his friends (and enemies) have come with their souped-up vehicles to battle it out on the track! There's more to this than just speed and control, as these zany racers will resort to just about anything to slow each other down. Choose one of the seven characters -- Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Dr. Robotnik (known to his fellow racers as the "Eggman"), Amy, Fang or Metal Sonic -- and battle the clock (and sometimes Mother Nature) on any of 18 courses. Enter the Chaos GP, where you pick a character and test your skill and trickery against three other drivers over six courses. Or, for great head-to-head action, get a friend to join you and try the Versus mode. Once these drivers hit the track, those who were friends become rivals! They'll use every trick in the book (and a couple that aren't) to put each other out of the running. Be ready for anything......Its the second annual "Chaos Grand Prix" and this time EVRYONES pulling out all the stops!!!!

    Gameplay
    Characters & Undocumented Controls

DEFINITELY better than its prequel, Sonic Drift adds new levels along with the old plus a variety of characters to choose from. Predictably, each racer has his/her own attributes and flaws. Good luck !!!!

Exit Free Run: To exit the Free Run, press Start then hold Buttons 1 + 2.

Quick Starts: For a boost of speed at the start of a race, hold Button 2 as soon as the go-light turns blue.

**** NOTE **** There are 3 Grand Prix areas split into different zones upon each play unlike its counterpart. This walkthough will cover all three - Purple, White, and Blue - Purple being the easiest, White being the medium, and Blue the hardest. In the end your ultimate goal will be getting access to one place - Eggmans hangout better known as the -

    Characters
Sonic the Hedgehog (in the Cyclone)
Sonic is high on speed, but weak on handling. His special ability is the "Dash", which gives him a short (but uncontrollable) burst of speed.

Miles "Tails" Prower (in the Whirlwind S7)
Tails is the balanced racer, with no strengths or flaws. His special ability is the "Jump", which avoids hitting a car from behind (which stops you instantly).

    Amy Rose (in the Breeze)
Amy is the fastest accelerator, but has the slowest car. She can use the "Heart Attack", which sends a little heart floating onto the track...if any of the other racers hits it, they'll be temporarily dazed and won't control as well.

Dr. Eggman / Doc Robotnik (in the Egg Typhoon)
Eggman has a sturdy chassis, but very weak acceleration. He can toss Mines that naturally stop any car that hits them in its tracks.

Knuckles The Echidna (in the Tempest)
Knuckles has the best handling, but is weak in the speed department. He can Jump (like Tails), or if he's close to an opponent, he'll punch them and stop their car.

Nack The Weasel / Fang the Sniper (in the Marvelous Queen)
Fang - or as he's known in America - Nack has good acceleration, but slippery handling. He can throw Oil Balls that cause whoever runs into them to slip out of control.

Metal Sonic (in the Blue Devil)
Metal Sonic is basically an enhanced version of Sonic. His Dash move goes even farther, but costs 3 Rings to use instead of the normal amounts of two!
