Building upon its success with the first Sonic Advance, Sonic Team and Dimps dare to try again. This time the gameplay's faster, the zones more colorful and varied, and two all-new characters are introduced: Cream The Rabbit and her friend Cheese the Chao! Other additions to the game include a new speed mode, Boss Attack! zones, and the "R" tricks, adding a little spice to the basic Sonic gameplay. Using these tricks, you can add height or length to a jump, or simply cancel it altogether, and they can only be performed when launched from a ramp, a spring, or a rail.
It didn't take long for Dr. Eggman to recover from his last defeat. He's back at it, kidnapping defenseless animals and holding them prisoner across 9 all-new zones! But this time Sonic has more to worry about now, as his close friends Tails and Knuckles are nowhere to be found! Has Eggman taken them hostage? Only one way for the 'hog to find out: Smash that Eggman!
