This is a VERY intricate piece of work...This was the first time in a couple of months since we had seen what happened to Dimitri (formerly known as Enerjak), the leader and patron of the Dark Legion. This piece is significant in a number of ways - 1) Its the last piece of art by one of the original Sonic artists, Art Mawhinney, for Archie Comics. 2) It symbolizes the breakup of the childhood friendship of Knuckles and Sally 3) It marks a VERY beautiful piece of Knuckles watching Sally flying off across the ocean towards home. This is probably one of the single funniest full page spreads in Sonic I've seen! Anime fans will DEFINETELY wanna check this out! ^^ Sonic, Amy, Tails, Knuckles, and Rotor each portray a role of the well known Japanese cartoon: Gatchaman (known in America as G-Force and Battle Of The Planets!) Now if only we could get a DBZ riff in there... ^^ |
