Summary
US Title: no title yet
The episode starts with Bokkun activating a robot down in Eggman's base. The strange robot activates telling it that they are going to have a busy day telling the robot to obey him, it complies and the two of them head off with Bokkun saying they are going to give Sonic a real bash.
A news report in the city park tells people that more people are showing that people are running around thanks to Sonic and the fitness. As Chris and Cream watch the TV Amy comes rushing in and that Chris is covering for Sonic. He informs Amy that he was there earlier but he's left already without telling them where he was going. Chris gets Amy to say what went wrong and she screams that Sonic never showed up for their date. Chris tells Amy that she was over-reacting, but she gets upset at Sonic standing her up. Chris thinks Sonic was trying to stop Eggman, but Amy reminds him that Eggman is in jail.
As the doorbell rings Amy runs there thinking it was Sonic only to find it was Sam saying he wants to race Sonic in his new car saying when he called he said that he had nothing else to do, Amy gets angry. Amy sits on Sam's car and both figure that they have both been stood up and Amy decides that both of them go off together. Sam agrees and both of them drive off with Chris thinking it's just all crazy and Cream gets mad at Chris for saying he doesn't take dating seriously.
Out in the desert Amy starts venting on Sonic as Sam really just seems to ignore her and she ignores him as he boasts about his car. As they approach some turns Amy figures he hasn't been listening and Sam explains that she shouldn't waste time with Sonic, but she isn't sure about it. Amy decides that they will head off to the beach and they both agree to not talk about Sonic.
At the prison Eggman and the others are complaining about the awful food and Eggman complains that he should deserve more food and the guard explains that it is a jail and not a prison as he drops a bucket of food. Eggman explains that he will be checking out in just a few minutes from the jail. As Sonic is rushing through the town he encounters Bokkun who is on top of a tank, which is being piloted by the new robot. The tank goes on the attack shooting missiles at Sonic. Just as it's about to take out Sonic he sits on the tank. Bokkun goes off chasing Sonic firing rapidly through the complex.
At the side of the road Sam and Amy have ended up stuck in a flock of sheep and Amy accuses him of being lost. At a small general store Amy and Sam go in and Amy asks for a map. Amy wonders how Sam can be so easy going and Sam explains he doesn't care as long as he's having fun. Amy says that it is something that Sonic would say. The shop-keeper asks if Amy knows Sonic and they say that they are close. Sam replies that it's only true as long as it isn't a date and Amy stomps him on his foot. The shop-keeper explains to Amy that Sonic rescued his grandson from a runaway horse and she gives Amy the map and some candy fee. The two of them drive off down the road with Sam remembering that they were suppose to race at night saying that it's hard for his memory to keep up with him.
Sonic meanwhile is busy now firing the exploding TVs at Sonic as he runs around and goes to get Bokkun. He ties the cannon up but is grabbed by some arms and thrown off. Sonic continues to dodge the arms and gets them tangled up causing the tank to collapse. Sonic thanks Bokkun for making him late for his date and kicks the tank causing it to explode. Sonic looks in the tank as Bokkun explains the other robot was breaking Eggman out.
In a parking lot Amy and Sam are enjoying some ice cream and Amy wonders if Sam is like Sonic. Sam says he can't move fast without a car and Amy wonders why he races Sonic if no car can be fast enough to beat Sonic. Sam just says he likes to as some large machine suddenly goes racing past them. They quickly take off following it thinking that it is going to break out Eggman. Sam says that his car cannot stop it, but Amy promises that she'll take care of it. Sam changes the car to a racing mode and as it morphs it cannot catch the machine. Sam takes a shortcut and heads back towards the machine. Amy takes her hammer and smashes the robot causing it to explode. Sam says isn't it great feeling saying they are almost at Sonic speed and she understands why Sonic loves to run.
At the jail Bokkun looks on at the others as he's been captured saying they shouldn't be angry at him as he brakes into tears. At the beach finally Sam and Amy overlook the sunset saying she should try super Sonic speed sometime and Amy thanks Sam for the day saying she's still in for a surprise as Sonic appears on the beach apologizing for being late. Amy runs to get him but he dodges getting ready to race Sam. The two of them take off leaving Amy rather angry saying it was the worst day.
Back at the house Cream is walking outside as she discovers the mysterious robot sitting quietly in the bushes. |
