Summary
US Title: no title yet
Back at the apartment everyone is watching the television and they learn that everyone made it off the island safely. Amy figures out that Shadow has taken him to Eggman and Sonic promises that he'll bring Chris back home having a flashback of when Chris rescued him from he pool. As they learn that people are still looking for Sonic Ella turns the TV off and Sonic runs off. Tanaka suggests they all go looking for Eggman, and Tails says they have no idea where the base is.
In the desert Knuckles appears and says he'll get back at Rouge for stealing the Master Emerald. Just then the ground shakes and Knuckles spots some smoke in the distance. He races ahead and spots a pyramid, which is Eggman's base.
Elsewhere Chris is looking out the window at Earth inside the space colony ARK. Shadow informs him that the colony was built over 50 years ago by Gerald Robotnik and that it has been kept secret. Chris wonders if he's the only kid that's gone into space, Shadow says he isn't. Chris wonders if Shadow and Sonic are related but Shadow gives him an evil stare as he has continuing flashbacks about Maria running through the colony as Maria tells Shadow to promise to her that she'll always be his friend as she releases Shadow to Earth. Shadow says he will make everyone pay for what they did as Decoe and Becoe have set six of the chaos emeralds into a device. Eggman begins to power the eclipse cannon while Rouge thinks it's just a hunk of junk. Eggman says the cannon can destroy a planet while Decoe and Becoe think he's just exaggerating. Rouge is surprised that the station is actually working and Eggman promises that he's going to be a big shot because of it.
Down on the planet Danny and the others are wondering what has happened to Chris as Sonic speeds by they try not to say his name as an officer is near them. Everyone is surprised to see Sonic but nothing happens. Elsewhere Stuart and Scarlet have tracked down a person named Mr. Schmitz. They find that the man has just left as Eggman breaks into broadcasts. He turns everyone's attentions to the sky as he exposes the space colony he shows the eclipse cannon and aims it. Once it has charged up he fires it taking out half of the moon. Everyone begins to panic as Tails and the others have watched the destruction. Chris and Rouge get worried and she knows that it is now the ultimate weapon. Eggman orders the people to surrender or else he'll destroy the planet.
Back in space Shadow and Chris continue to look down at the planet and Shadow says things will come to an end, Chris wonders what he is talking about and asks why Shadow brought him there. He continues to have flashbacks of Maria and that Gerald told him he was there to do something important. Rouge appears and wonders why Shadow never smiles, Shadow walks off leaving the two of them alone.
Down on Earth Tails and Chuck are working on the X Tornado and Tails says one emerald won't get them into space. Chuck says one is all they've got and Tails shows that he's made a copy of the emerald, but not a perfect copy.
Meanwhile Stuart and Scarlet leave the building as they see a bunch of officers chasing Sonic through the streets. Sonic meanwhile stays ahead of them as the ground begins shaking he goes and finds Knuckles destroying some of the robots. Knuckles goes off and destroys some robots quickly as Sonic joins in helping. Tanaka suddenly appears to distract the robots as Cream opens up the sewer.
The president meanwhile is trying to work out a deal with Eggman, but he says that either they will become part of his empire or the planet will be destroyed. The president says he cannot give an answer just yet but Eggman knows he is stalling for an attack but gives the president only 12 hours to answer. Sam says the bright side is if the planet is destroyed he wont have to balance the budget.
Sonic and the others meanwhile are making their way through the desert in a jeep to Eggman's base. As the five of them head up onto the pyramid Topaz is busy following them inside. Amy tries to use her hammer to break in but they cannot. Knuckles is asked to go get the key, but they doubt Knuckles' finding abilities. Knuckles encounters Bokkun he heads off without hurting Bokkun. The small robot summons the Egg Golem as Knuckles comes running back with the golem following him.
The golem smashes open the door and Knuckles asks Sonic if he's happy, which he gets an "I guess" back. As Bokkun orders the golem to attack Knuckles and Sonic are both taken down from punches. The two get up and plan a double attack and Knuckles knocks the robot off balance and Sonic takes it down. Bokkun has the golem get back showing that he has captured Topaz. Tanaka distracts Bokkun and Cream takes the remote using it to let Topaz go and has the golem chase after Bokkun.
Tanaka hopes that Topaz is unharmed as Tails flies in finding the base as the top of the pyramid opens he lands inside to find Sonic and the others. Tails says the only problem is that only four people can go in the X Tornado, however Sonic suggests they use the shuttle and Tails is upset at the work he did for nothing. Cream, Cheese, and Topaz stay behind as the others launch themselves into space. |
