Summary
US Title: "Countdown to Chaos"
The episode opens with Danny and the other gang watching a TV, as Eggman's ship appears overhead and races over the city. Seconds behind the ship Sonic is going full speed towards the ship. Eggman spots him and decides to shrug Sonic off as he heads towards Lucky who is holding the final Chaos Emerald. In the government office the President has ordered an evacuation of the city and hears that the Beatles are being put into place.
Up in the sky Tails approaches with the X Tornado trying to catch up with the others as quickly as possible. Near the forest Rouge and Topaz head back towards the city and Topaz has given Rouge a present, a piece of jewelry. Knuckles rides below the helicopter upset at himself being tricked by Eggman.
Back in the city Eggman has found Lucky and as he goes to get the emerald Sonic appears and sends Lucky flying with the emerald. As Lucky is about to hand the emerald to Sonic robots appear and Sonic things they are Eggman's. However, they are part of the government and Sonic is ordered aside, Sonic worried about Chris tries to stop them as they tanks open fire on Eggman's ship, however it takes on no damage with a quick shield deployment. Eggman learns that they robots were based off of his own technology and he releases the full arsenal of his command ship. Sonic dodges the missiles as Eggman releases a large energy blast igniting the area in flames.
While Lucky flies through the air Eggman finds that the tanks have received no damage even from his assault. Sonic is also all right and looking rather upset at Eggman. Eggman takes off to get Lucky with Sonic quickly taking off to keep up. The Beatles switch to a flight mode to keep up with Eggman as well. Sonic unable to actually get up to Eggman uses the Beatles as a stepping stone and leaps up into the air and grabs onto Lucky. Wanting the robot to relax Sonic manages to get the emerald as Lucky flies Sonic to safety. Upset at the betrayal of his own robot Eggman transforms the Egg Fort into the giant E-99 robot, also called the Eggterminator. Sonic looks up at the robot grinning as he starts to attack the robot with his speed.
Using only the six emeralds Eggman transfers their energy in order to keep up with Sonic and uses the robots amazing strength and speed to send Sonic flying through buildings. Chris pleads with Eggman to let Sonic go however Eggman being himself continues his assault on Sonic. Tails appears with the X Tornado however he cannot do much with its limited power. The Beatles also reappear but this time Eggman makes short work of them destroying them. Sonic stumbles forward towards the robot telling Eggman he will save Chris.
Just then the robot switch into a super mode on its own and starts to punch Sonic into the ground with its fists. Topaz and the others appear however they are no help at all with only their helicopters. Chris begins to scream Sonic's name as the giant robot sends Sonic flying. Chris has a quick flashback with his adventures as Sonic goes into the ocean. So upset Chris breaks free and burns his hands as he pulls the 6 emeralds out of their containers. Holding the emeralds close Chris tells Eggman that he will never give the emeralds back. The robot without power will soon start to drop down from the sky.
Knuckles appears rather upset as he smashes through the glass, wanting to know where Chris is he is already outside with Rouge who is only interested with the emeralds. He struggles with Rouge and falls towards the ocean with the six emeralds. Rouge still has Chris as the robot grabs onto Chris, now malfunctioning. As Tails flies overhead the ocean below lights up bright yellow. Suddenly the robot's hand explodes, as Eggman knows not to do anything right at the moment, as he knows Chaos Control will happen. However Super Sonic stands before the giant robot. As the robot goes to attack Super Sonic he devastates the robot by blowing through it causing Chaos Control to happen inside the city.
Inside another dimension Super Sonic manages to wake Chris up and says they are going to be heading home. Chris pleads to be taken with him however Sonic uses his powers to heal him before he disappears in Chris' arms. Once Chaos Control finishes a strange island appears in the bay as Tails flies in overhead with the X Tornado. The episodes ends showing the new island in the bay as Knuckles knows what the island is staring at it with a stern look. On the island Eggman discovers a strange tablet and looks onward grinning. And finally with Chris looking through the mists Sonic shows back up giving a thumb up. |
