Summary
US Title: "The Dam Scam"
The episode starts with Sonic, Chris, and Tails flying over an animal reserve. They decide to land to get a better look when Eggman suddenly shows up in his fortress. Tails takes evasive action as the plane comes under fire. Holding a power ring Sonic heads towards the ship and before Eggman can move he causes the ship to crash. As Tails goes to get Sonic the X Tornado is hit by debris and sent crashing to the ground as well.
While Tails is busy fixing the plane Chris watches Tails. Once fixed he converts it into the X Cyclone, however one of the legs comes lose and Tails goes back to fixing it. Chris wants to help but Tails says that he can handle things himself. Chris wonders why it is so quiet and sees that even his cell phone won’t work. He goes and lays down under a tree and decides to take a nap, instead of that Chris tells Tails that things just feel different. Tails tells him that it feels like home and he would like to stay in Station Square and build lots of machines. Chris tells him that he wants to study zoology and that he is more interested in animals and tries not to insult Tails. However Tails pays no attention and once the plane is fixed they go off to look for Sonic.
Elsewhere Robotnik is emerging from his fortress to find some alligators waiting there for him. While on top of the ship the E-65, a giant ape robot, is release with Bocoe and Decoe inside of it. Sonic however is running around the flat savanna surface looking for Tails and Chris. It is then that a cheetah tries to race Sonic; he picks it up and starts running at his top speed.
Chris and Tails though come across a construction site and wonder why they are building on the preserve. As they come into the site they ask what they are building and two men tell them to leave because they are building a dam. Tails wonders why they are building one even though there is no water anywhere. They are told they are being too nosey and Tails worries about the animals. However, they do not care about the animals. Tails gets upset at them saying that because they are wimps they deserve to lose their home. Tails then goes onto remember back on his home world where he was tortured until he saw Sonic. Taking off he found a red bi-plane and began to rebuild the plane. Sonic found him and wondered what he was doing to his plane. Tails apologized saying that he made it faster and Sonic wonders why he was being followed around. Tails said that he only fixed up the plane because he wants to be friends, Sonic agrees.
Back in the present Tails seems upset that everyone picked on him and then decides that he is going to stop the people from building the dam. He tells the men to leave. However one machine comes towards Tails and he is forced to run. Chris tells them that they are going to need some help and the animal behind them stand up. They head into the city and gather up the townspeople who go to protest the dam. They try to calm the people however they will hear nothing. The construction project continues and Chris and Tails celebrate at their achievements.
Deep ion the forest the two men plot to burn the forest down the forest so that when it rains the entire land will flood and they will make the people pay. Just then the E-65 comes out of the forest and scares the two men. Sonic appears on the horizon and the two charge at each other. Sonic knocks it off its feet and leads it into the forest where the robot suddenly goes invisible. One of the men tries to say to go home, however the leader decides to go ahead and they make off with the gas cans.
When Sonic stops to make fun of the robot it drops down from behind and slams him. Moving around invisible the E-65 continues to attack Sonic. As the two men go to start the fire Eggman appears and asks to look for Sonic. As they go to make fun of Eggman he attacks them and the two men run off saying to forget the entire plan. Meanwhile Sonic is trying to stay ahead of the robot, however because of the camouflage Sonic is continuously getting hit without being able to attack back.
Sonic closes his eyes in an attempt to hear the robot. Concentrating he hits the robot dead on and sends it flying. He runs off telling Eggman to come and get him. Sonic stays just ahead of the robot. As Chris and Tails are thanking the animals for their help Sonic shows up and asks what they were doing. Chris tells him and before Sonic can thank him the E-65 shows up again. Sonic races into the construction site and as the E-65 tries to use the camouflage it appears against the metal its only weakness. Eggman tries to destroy everything metal in the area while Sonic is busy attacking the E-65. Bocoe and Decoe abandon the E-65 as Tails tosses a power ring at Sonic. He quickly takes the robot out and lands perfectly on the ground. Eggman goes head on head against Sonic however his craft is easily destroyed and he runs off with Bocoe and Decoe. Bokkun appears with a message with Eggman telling Bokkun to tap dance to perform he is still in command. Bokkun flies off crying.
Later that day the two men are arrested and Chris says that if Eggman had not made them crash they would have not saved the animals. The episode ends with them staring off into the sunset. |
