Summary
US Title: "Beating Eggman Part 2"
The episode starts off with the president telling everyone of the battle against Eggman. In the crowd Danny is standing there watching the battle being displayed on the television. As the second wave arrives, more missiles are launched at the planes. One of them releases a missile with Knuckles riding on it. He jumps off and beings to climb up Eggman’s base. Inside Rouge tells the team to stop as a guard robot appears in the hallway.
Out in the field the X Cyclone finally lands on the ground, unable to do anything against the powerful wind. Everyone is pinned to the ground and when Francis is almost blown away Amy grabs her and tells her to stay down. Tails meanwhile comes back into consciousness and Eggman orders the robot to start crushing the X Cyclone. Sonic suddenly appears and stands against the wind without a problem he knocks the robot off its feat causing the wind to be blown up and Eggman to be blown off. With the wind finally shut off Tails gets out of the plane and Sonic asks him why they are all out there. Tails explains that there is a Chaos Emerald and he starts digging to get it. The robot gets back up and starts blowing wind again. Sonic gets a power ring and takes out the robot once and for all.
With it now out of the way Tails digs up the yellow emerald only to have Eggman take it from him. Before they can react Eggman is gone and the group gathers up to go after Eggman. Chris tries to convince Francis that she needs to stay, but Tails and Amy convince him to let her come. The plane changes back and the group of five take off after Eggman. Stuart spots them leaving and stands a little stunned.
Inside the base Rouge is having a hard time with the robot, but they use a charge to take out the floor sending it down below. Bocoe and Decoe have no clue what to do when they see another ship coming in. They begin to fire a barrage of missiles; the plane however turns out to be Eggman coming back. He sees his base under attack and manages to dodge the missile and get inside. In the town the news crew spots the X Tornado and Sonic. Danny says what it is and tells the crowd that everything is going to be okay and who Sonic is.
Back inside the base another guard robot appears and Rouge tells Topaz to lead the team to the power core while she takes on the robot. As the team approaches the room they come up against an army of gun robots. Suddenly Knuckles comes in and smashes all of the robots to pieces. Topaz thanks him and Rouge tries to stay hidden but she comes up to Knuckles and says their plan. Knuckles relies that they cannot succeed and saying that they need to try Knuckles decides to join the team.
Up in the control room Eggman yells at his robots for almost shooting him down and he activates even more missiles to be launched at the X Tornado. He activates a control panel and plays almost a video game as the console spins around firing dozens and dozens of missiles at the X Tornado. Tails manages to move the plane and dodge the missiles. Blowing a hole in the side of the base, Sonic jumps off the plane and smashes his way inside the base. Taking off he quickly comes into a room with a giant robot being piloted by Eggman. It is powered by the two emeralds that Eggman has. The two start to battle.
In the power room the team has set all the charges and the team gets ready to move out. Rouge does not want to leave, as she wants to get the emeralds. Bocoe and Decoe see this and lock the entire group in the room. Rouge tries to open the door but finds that she cannot. Not even Knuckles’ powerful fists cannot make a dent in the super thick door. Topaz looks at the timer and learns that they cannot shut off the charges. Rouge and Knuckles join and begin concentrating in one area.
Meanwhile Sonic is busy trying to fight the robot, however it is too powerful for him and he is knocked into the wall. As he tries to fight Eggman has the robot slam Sonic into the wall and holds him there. As Eggman is about to take out Sonic he gets a phone call that people are locked in the control room and Eggman tells them to take them out. Rouge and Knuckles are trying their best to break through the doors. With Eggman distracted Sonic breaks free and smashes through the armor of the robot, grabbing both of the emerald. Sonic uses their power and smashes the robot to pieces. He takes off and Eggman escapes at the last second. Sonic meanwhile using the power of the two emeralds begins smashing the base into pieces using his spin attack. Knuckles finally punches the group through the door as Sonic blasts through the door. The group manages to escape as Rouge and Knuckles argue who should be in charge. Topaz yells at them to run as the charges go off taking the entire base down in a giant explosion.
Everyone worries about Sonic’s safety and hope that he will be ok. He emerges from the smoke and lands on the X Tornado holding the two emeralds in his hands, ending the episode in celebration. |
