Summary
US Title: "The Last Resort"
The episode starts out with Amy dreaming of going to the Emerald Coast Resort. Amy wants to go to the party, Chris warms them not to be spotted and Chuck tells them that as long as they stay at the villa they won’t be spotted. He then goes on to tell Chris that he doesn’t need to stay at the party for long and he tells Sonic he can give him swimming lessons, Sonic disagrees and takes off. Amy tells him he won’t go with them because he hates water so much, Tails replies that Sonic can go running on the beach and Amy is sad that Sonic won’t be there. Then Ella and Tanaka drive up to take Chris to the party, everyone wishes him good luck. As the X Tornado launches off with Tails, Amy, Cream, and Cheese it flies over the car Chris, Ella, and Tanaka are in. Tanaka reminds Chris to be on his best behavior and Chris promises so. Elsewhere Sonic is busy relaxing in a meadow wondering who needs the ocean.
At the villa on the beach everyone is out in the water enjoying themselves and Tails tries to have a splash war with Cream. Amy meanwhile is swimming around underwater. The three of them cannot wait for Chris to show up. At the resort however, Chris seems just a little down at everyone he has to meet, Tanaka reminds him to look interested. Elsewhere, Amy is walking down the beach daydreaming of her and Sonic having a good time on the beach. Just then a coconut knocks down Amy and she throws it out into the water in a rage where it hit a robot in the water. Amy cools down once she realizes what she did and then overhears a couple enjoying themselves. She moves in to see that the girl has made something and gives a lucky charm when the man goes into the water. Amy follows the idea and tries to make one for Sonic. Cream appears and wonders what she is making it for, Amy replies nobody and Cream thinks it is for Sonic. Just then loud explosions are seen as Eggman launches an attack on the resort. He releases a deconstruction crew that begins to tear about the brand new resort and also captures Tanaka, Ella, and Chris. Tanaka tries to go on the assault, however Ella stops him before he can do anything. Chris reminds them that their only hope is Sonic. Meanwhile Sonic appears with flowers at the mansion and he remembers they are at the beach.
Chuck comes in and tells Sonic that he has to hurry to the beach as he shows a TV report that is interrupted as Eggman appears on the screen saying he has turned it into a theme park. Bokkun appears with a bomb that goes off in Sonic and Chuck’s face. Sonic races off leaving Chuck just a little stunned. At the beach Amy, Cream, and Tails are getting ready to attack as Amy and Tails go off to tackle Eggman leaving Cream at the villa.
At the resort Eggman is trying to build the most dangerous rides as Sonic appears and begins to knock things down. The giant octopus robot appears and Eggman commands Octeron to capture Sonic. He tries to attack it but is stopped by a rubbery metal. He struggles to escape but is held under the water by the robot. As Octeron lifts Sonic up to get some air Eggman decides to send him back under, however Sonic swings and lands on the ground. Eggman commands the robot to try and pull Sonic back into the water. Slowly the robot is able to and almost gets Sonic in the water when Amy appears and uses her hammer to smash the tentacle in half freeing Sonic and sending the robot into the water. Sonic uses a roller coaster ramp to jump into the air and grabs a ring from Tails. Using his power he smashes the robot into pieces and Eggman takes off before anything can happen to him. Sonic tells Amy what she did was crazy and Amy replies with "you make me do crazy things". Sonic tries to leave, but Amy stops him and hands him the bracelet. She tells him that if he wears it, it will bring him good luck. Just as he is about to take it the deconstruction crew appears and the bracelet is smashed.
Eggman reappears with a new robot and Sonic seems that he will be able to easily take out the robot. Eggman orders it to go attack leaving Amy to look at the smashed bracelet. She cries over it for a few moments then goes into a fit of rage. As Sonic is about to be attacked, Amy appears with her hammer and begins to smash the robot apart piece by piece. Eggman slinks away so he cannot be attack. As Amy is smashing the head she is pushed into the air where she hammers Eggman into the water. Coming down she hits the craft again and sends him flying. Sonic races out and dives into the water to save her. Sonic actually manages to swim and the last thing Amy sees before she blacks out is Sonic coming towards her. As she is unconscious Amy dreams of Sonic and her running along the beach.
It’s cut short as Cream appears and tells Amy to wake up. She does and lays in the villa chair a little stunned. Cream explains that she was brought once she was brought out of the water. She worries that Sonic isn’t all right, but Cream explains that he went back home. Amy cries that the bracelet is gone and Cream tells her not to cry. The episode ends with Sonic sitting on a rock and reminding himself to stay out of the water. As he stand up he reveals a repaired bracelet on his arm. |
