Summary
US Title: "Party Hardly"
The episode starts with Chris asking Cream and Cheese to stay inside the house. However, Cream does not seem so happy and she only wants to go out and play. Meanwhile in the lab, Tails and Amy spot Cream picking flowers down below in the garden. Tails wonders what is going on and Amy tells him, however, Tails wonders why Cream went out when she wasn’t suppose to. A quick flashback reveals Tails learning that Cream may miss her mom. Sonic is behind them and sees a poster of a meadow, grinning he quickly takes off.
Meanwhile, Chris’ mom is desperately trying to cook some form a dinner. Chris tries to act like the overcooked burnt food may be good, but he can’t. Ella comes in wondering if something was on fire, and Chris’ mom suggests having a dinner part tonight. Chris agrees and asks her to invite Sam (the man who chased Sonic in episode 1) who is his very own uncle. Ella takes off to clean.
At school, Chris is talking with his friends about the party tonight while Stuart overhears them and heads off. At the mansion Cream is heading out to pick more flowers when she sees Chris’ mom decorating, she decides to help. Back at school, Stuart manages to invite himself over to Chris’ part. Chris seems a little taken back by this and worries.
Somewhere out in nowhere is Sonic who is desperately trying to find the meadow. Back at the house, Chris comes home and tells his mom that his teacher is going to be coming over. Chuck comes down the stairs and complains about having to wear a suit because Tanaka told him to. Chris asks Chuck to keep Sonic and the others hidden, Chuck sees he’s only seen Tails and Amy. They spot Cream decorating and try to hide her from Chris’ mom who appeared suddenly. Chris tells them that he and Chuck will take care of decorating while she goes to get ready for the party. The quickly take off to get Cream and pull her down to hide her from Ella. Chris asks Cream to stay hidden, however Cream says that she is very bored. Tanaka appears and says that he has known all along that Cream and the others are there. Cream walks off leaving Chris stunned.
Chris looks through the house while Ella is busy baking. Chris’ mom asks for Ella’s help and she leaves the kitchen. Cream appears and she and Cheese make a mess of the kitchen after trying to help with the baking and cooking. Chris is still trying to find Cream when he hears Ella scream; he runs into the kitchen and sees Ella upset at her lost food.
Up in her bedroom, Chris’ mom is just finishing getting ready when she hears of a new job that she has been offered. However, she wants to stay for the party, but she has no choice and sadly accepts. She is very upset and Cream overhears all of it. She actually starts crying while Cream and Cheese stand in the doorway. Meanwhile out in nowhere, Sonic spot the meadow and smells the flowers.
Chris goes to head out to the lab to see if Cream is out there. Ella comes in and does not find him, when she goes outside Chris’ mom tells her to apologize to Chris about having to leave suddenly. Chris meanwhile heads up into the lab only to find Amy and Tails busy with Chuck. All of them say that they have not seen either of them all day. Chuck offers their help and the four of them split to look through the house.
It is then that Mr. Stuart arrives with flowers and Tanaka invites them in. Ella offers him to sit down and Stuart cannot wait to meet her. Ella tells him that she has taken off, Chris hears of this and it shocked. Stuart offers the flowers to Ella and she is happy to take them. Suddenly something breaks and Stuart sneaks off the plant his tracking device. Ella finds Chuck outside and comes up with an excuse, he climbs up through the window and Ella gets upset. Chris finally finds Cream behind a curtain, she sees Sonic outside with the flowers. She then walks out behind the curtain without caring and Ella spots her. She is a little taken back, and while Stuart is busy constantly looking at a painting. Chris tells Cream to act like a toy and Ella thinks that they are lying to her. Sam comes through the door and is introduced to Stuart.
Chris brags about his uncle’s title and that he cannot be beaten. Ella complains about him being too fast, however he then says that only one person who ever beat him and with a quick flashback Sam promises to catch up with him. Stuart asks him what he looked like, Sam sees Sonic outside and goes to point, and however everyone sees nothing. Stuart is still looking and going on about the painting. Sam tries to convince everyone, but no one is supporting. Ella agrees with him and points to Cream.
Chris gets upset that his mom took off and calls his mother rude, however Cream remembers his mother crying and yells at Chris for talking bad about his mother. Everyone stands stunned at Cream who runs off crying. Tanaka says that he has been practicing ventriloquism. Just then Tails and Amy run through the dinning room, Stuart still looks at the painting and Chuck takes Ella off to dance. Stuart decides not to use the device and takes off. Sam is not to far behind and takes off as well.
Coming back inside they see that Ella is about to go on a nervous break down. Tanaka and Chuck convince Chris to tell Ella about Cream and the others, Chris does. Later that night Ella and Cream are in the kitchen cooking and Ella decides to be a stepmother until Cream’s mom comes home.
Sonic is happy that they can move freely now, Chris walks off and regrets being so mean at the part and hopes that Cream does not stay mad at him. Just then Cream comes in with a crown made of flowers. Cream runs off to go give Ella one. Sonic tells Chris that she only gives it to people she likes. The episode ends with Ella happily laughing with Cream and Cheese in her arms. |
